The next big thing is broadcast internet. Right now broadcasters can put all of their videos, TV shows, and newscasts online with fairly good video. The problem is that networks can’t currently stream it live. But I think the next big thing is the convergence of internet and television. We can already get internet on our TV’s, but our computers are such a big part of us that why not turn our computer into our TV. I think soon networks will be able stream live TV over the internet.
The problem? The Niche theory of Superiority and Displacement answers this because the computer is more superior in the fact that it can do a lot more. And if people can also get TV from their computer over the internet, they won’t need to watch the TV anymore. The TV will become displaced by the computer.
I have pretty much already replaced the TV. Living in a dorm I don’t have a TV, nor do I have time to align my schedule with the networks. Everything I watch, I watch online from one of the networks’ site.

Right now a site called wwiTV.com (World Wide Internet Television) contains links to 2464 stations that are broadcasting online. It contains sites from all over the world. Check it out here: For more information click here
